You can’t hide from the feelings that you hold inside and you can’t seem to wake up from this bad dream. When all the things that you once took for granted, everything on which you depend, Suddenly all gone away leaving you stranded, waiting for this nightmare to end. Will things be the same again? We’re in some dark times but we’ll make it to the dawn and then the soft light will come creeping, slowly warming up the cold night air, a bright new morning will arrive. I can’t sleep on this bed of nails anxiety. Can’t believe what I’m seeing right in front of me. Storms will pass and this won’t last forever, hold on tight for a brighter day. We can do this, get through this together, ‘till then we’ll just hope and pray. One day we’ll look back and say: Been through some dark times but we made it to the dawn and then the soft light came creeping, slowly warming up the cold night air, a bright new morning will arrive. Oh we’re in dark times but well make it to the dawn and then the soft light will come creeping, slowly warming up the cold night air, a bright new morning will arrive, arrive. And in our darkest hour, when we were torn apart the distance only drew us closer in our loving hearts. The greatest lesson learned, about what matters most and all the love that burned inside us gave us hope. We’re in some dark times but we’ll make it to the morning.

It’s been a long while since I held your hand, And there are many miles between us. Distances narrow with each new day And I just can’t wait to see you! Half a world away, South Pacific isle, Ki’ora, morina, we meet again, Tika, ar noa por noa. (A-oh-tee-a-row-a...) Leaving my heartland so far away, leaving my fears behind me (oh), Follow a path through the starlit sky, beautiful planet before me. Landing as dawn brings a cool new morn, setting our feet on the dear earth, Ev’rything’s different but just the same, A-oh-tee-a-row-a home. Ehara ee te ti, your moanga waits for you. Walking the steps of the ancestors, Tika my beloved farno. It’s been a long while since I held your hand, And there are many miles between us. Distances narrow with each new day And I just can’t wait to see you! And I just can’t wait to see you/ land of the long white cloud ...(to fade) The words in the song are written phonetically, so: Ki’ora =Kia ora = hello/goodbye/thank you. Morina = morena = good morning. Tika = doing things right the Maori way. Ar noa por noa = ar noa pō noa = 24/7 Ehara ee te ti = ehara it e ti = you only live once; don’t be like a cabbage tree that grows super straight. Moanga = maunga = mountain. Farno = whanau = family/to be born. A-oh-tee-a-row-a = Aotearoa = land of the long white cloud (New Zealand).

Feeling lucky, never sure what about Feeling hazy, and I can’t make it out. I know I love her and I know that she has gone. I’m so sorry, I did it all wrong. Feeling hopeful, not sure where to go. Feeling special, but what the hell do I know? I’m not taken out, I have my own hand. I’m not breaking out, I took the wrong stand. It’s not cold yet. I’m still learning. I’m still bearing the Flame. I’m not old yet. I’m still yearning. My skin still bears your name. Through darkened skies, your words ever ring, The stars do not cry, they sing. The world’s turning, yet laying in rust. Wild fires they wrestle in the dust. Empire’s falling, you see it in her eyes. A Generation - suckling on a lie. Feeling lighter as I let her go, Feeling stronger the less I know. I know I’m free-er now, as the curfew falls. Where we go one we go all.

‘Better days gonna come’ Mary down the street she works three jobs to make a living Never has the time to count the blessings that she’s given The tears she cries she keeps those tears hidden Shouts and bawls at her kids and wishes that she didn’t Her daughter Rosie she gets bullied when she’s at school Knows what it’s like to live with the pain of ridicule Things they say the things they do they’re merciless and cruel But she won’t tell her teachers ‘cause she thinks they’re all fools Better days gonna come Carl down the pub he’s real handy with his fists Gets messed up when he thinks about the childhood that he missed Never felt the warmth of love Can’t remember his mother’s kiss Got scars on his soul just like the scars on his wrists He gets real down sometimes Spends days on end in bed Gets pills off the doctor to make him right in the head No amount of talking no blister packs of meds Can stop him from believing sometimes he’d be better off dead Better days gonna come Yeah yeah yeah Better must come for each and everyone Better days got to come There’s a guy called Marcus thought god was on his side On his bike to meet some friends he met when he went to pride Got some trouble from some kids didn’t know they carried knives But they cut him and they run Didn’t care if he lived or died Better days gonna come Violence and hatred on my television screen Brothers and sisters homeless in days like these Brothers and sisters fighting Makes you want to cry Makes you want to scream out loud for days like these Will better days ever come…..

I want To be free of the restraints We’re all living in fear And it’s starting to inflate Our emotions are in bits Don’t know the half of it Because, I hide behind the mask It’s the sickness We don’t wanna talk about But it’s all we hear Looking over my shoulder Pull my loved one closer Wishing I could her As the night draws near I can be stronger for us This is beyond me This is beyond you All of us I want To be free of the restraints Like a ghost town over here Get inside before it’s late Our emotions are in bits Don’t know the half of it Because, I hide behind the mask This is for a greater cause Something bigger than me Something further than I can see I will never need applause This is something bigger than me I can be stronger for us This is beyond me This is beyond you All of us Now I want To be free of the restraints We’re all living in fear And it’s starting to inflate Our emotions are in bits Don’t know the half of it Because, I hide behind the mask Because I hide the mask But I will gladly wear that mask.

I know, things heal after, suffering, Hunger, has given me an urge, to start again, We are all alive, Do what it takes to live our lives, We will all survive, But are you satisfied, Chances, are always gifted down, from the gods, Daring, to go all the way, in laughter, We are all alive, Do what it takes to live our lives, We will all survive, But are you satisfied, Bridge Hold on nothing left to break, do or die, not a thing at stake, Hold on we’re chasing something real, this could be, the route to our outbreak, We are all alive, Do what it takes to live our lives, We will all survive, But are you satisfied, Will we make it, I can’t take it, all of this anticipation, I’m losing my head there’s no control

Dealing with these lean facts Running like diseased rats Like everything I sees flat B natural to appease that A word to the wise You'll learn to despise The worst of the times as it burns in your eyes Lurks in the cries of the earth's slow demise Churns coincides with the girth of the lies Can't sleep for the blue light Can't write or make my tunes right Enlightened by the news sites Chatting all the truth right If your hearts on your sleeve then my guts are on the pavement Let the art be deceased dead try and make a statement Marked by the beast triple crossing double agents The barking release of the wanderers elation Venomous menaces with intelligence deficits Felling the fellowships for indelible benefits Conceited elitists seeking the bleakest Beating the weakest leeching defeatists Tonne of feathers tonne of bricks Tonne of shit to swallow quick Summon guts to make it stick Tonne of shit to swallow quick The mirrors looking gaunt with the visions that'll taunt Sinners looking scorned face division from the horns Still were getting bought played patient little pawns Lizards living Broad like lizzies loving spawn can’t seem to find a balance Getting battered by the talons Of an ever waging never fading Contemplation battle Allegedly I’m the enemy defending all these tendencies Contending with complexities That are made to please necessities If they could see the vacancy They might just stop degrading me It’s blatantly a basic scheme to keep people deflated see Either fighting to thrive or were fighting to survive Strive to stay alive like we're wearing a disguise Cut all ties compromise initialise a Web of cries Utilise the idle minds the future dies with mimic mines

We’ve got, to get through this together in our minds Open our eyes together and we will be strong Like a wave like a wave that can shield the heat Like a tide that divides us before we meet Waiting for love to finally linger waiting for blood to lead us into Days come undone, won’t save tomorrow (like a wave, like a wave it’s the way we will save, our lives unsung won’t save our sorrow (like a wave, like a wave it’s the way we will save, It’s not, a wound that can be seen with only sight Open our minds together and we will be strong Like a wave like a wave that can shield the heat Like a tide that divides us before we meet Waiting for love to finally linger waiting for blood to lead us into Days come undone, won’t save tomorrow (like a wave, like a wave it’s the way we will save, our lives unsung won’t save our sorrow (like a wave, like a wave it’s the way we will save, Waiting for love to finally linger waiting for blood to lead us into Waiting for love to lead us into Days come undone, won’t save tomorrow (like a wave, like a wave it’s the way we will save, our lives unsung won’t save our sorrow (like a wave, like a wave it’s the way we will save, Days come undone, won’t save tomorrow (like a wave, like a wave it’s the way we will save, our lives unsung won’t save tomorrow (like a wave, like a wave it’s the way we will save,

I used to think, back when I was young, some day I’d learn how to be someone Should have known that I’d be me If I knew back then what I know now I might have turned my life around And missed the fun of finding out I’m slowly figuring things out I’m slowly figuring things out Life’s what you make it, and I made a mess But I’m slowly figuring things out On the day that I turned 21 I thought my life was halfway done Many years have passed since then I never learned what the secrets of life are or how to really play guitar But I’ve still got time for that I’m slowly figuring things out I’m slowly figuring things out Life’s what you make it, and I made a mess But I’m slowly figuring things out Don’t look now but I think we’re gonna be ok Don’t look now but I think we’re gonna be ok Life is brief but we’ve still got time to play And we’re gonna be fine I'm not who I used to think I’d be I’ve made mistakes but I’m still me And maybe that's ok And though this learning curve might break me I’ve still got mistakes to make I’m gonna make them for myself I’m slowly figuring things out I’m slowly figuring things out Life’s what you make it, and I made a mess But I’m slowly figuring things out

She’s only a bird on a clifftop, smaller than my hand The wind ruffles her feathers, her tail a tiny fan She’s only a bird on a clifftop but she’s flown ten thousand miles And you can see from the look in her blackberry eye She’s determined to survive He’s only a fox in the forest, red as the autumn leaves The wind carries his scent away, but his sides heave as he breathes He’s only a foxin the forest, but he watches the hounds as he hides And you can see by the look in his bright chestnut eye He’s determined to survive She’s only a child in a dinghy, frail as a flower in snow the wind tosses her on the waves, her face flecked with the foam She’s only a child in a dinghy, so still she seems barely alive But you can see from the look in her sea-green eyes She’s determined to survive We seem only a few among many, but maybe we hold the key For the wind of change is blowing and its calling you and me We seem only a few among many, but what if we were to find That the bird and the fox and the sea-tossed child hold a message for all humankind There’s only one earth in the Universe and its home to the human race And the wind that is coming could blow us away, we could vanish without a trace There’s only one earth, it’s our planet, so how about now being the time When we care for the bird and the fox and the child And maybe we’ll survive Lyrics: Bridget Cousins Tune: Phil Bennett Arrangement : The Blow-ins

I spent, all my time Chasing things, I can’t find But even, when I’ve tried I don’t learn, I just find Myself, in the same place before Knocking but no answer at the door I can’t love but you are One that I would choose But you won’t choose me back So I hate love, it’s crap but Everytime I see you I change my mind cus you Look at me like that All that love comes back I know you heard That I fancy you but that’s a word So please hold me back I might’ve lost track But I don’t learn, no I don’t learn I find myself in tyranny, scratching on a burn I’m in the same place as before
